Side jobs today

As I work in academia, I am off this week (paid, thank the Tao) and did a half-day's worth of side jobs for a co-worker. Slapped in in a new bathroom faucet, put up some knick-knack shelves, cut a smidge off a door and installed a sweep, and cleaned the gutters. Even though my friend-rate is $15/hour, she paid me a cool $100 for 4 hours work. Sa-weet. But that has to go for the electrician from work who is going to help us on some wiring stuff. What comes around goes around...

Tomorrow Spyder is cracking the whip, and not in a fun way. We are going to pave the little dog yard for mud-abatement. Today the Home Depot guy delivered two pallets of pavers and ten bags of sand. My back and knees hurt already...
